- Michael Jordan, one of the greatest athletes of all time, receives the nation's highest civilian honor in the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Jordan played 15 seasons in the NBA for the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards; he is currently a principal owner and chairman of the Charlotte Hornets. During his career, he won six championships, five Most Valuable Player awards, and appeared in 14 All-Star games.
About the NBA:
The NBA is the premier professional basketball league in the United States and Canada. The league is truly global, with games and programming in 215 countries and territories in 47 languages, as well as NBA rosters at the start of the 2016-17 season featuring a record 113 international players from a record 41 countries and territories. For the 2016-17 season, each of the league's 30 teams will play 82 regular-season games, followed by a postseason for those that qualify.

I understand what you're saying. Obviously he made the standing-over-The-President joke, which I think was more about self-soothing and helping himself relax a bit, but immediately changed his body language after. Bowed head and averted gaze for a good half minute. For someone who has probably been the most important person in any room for the last forty years of his life, he appeared extraordinarily humble and could seemingly feel the gravity of the moment.

Michael jordan is the definition of greatness and the true American dream, as it should be someone that shows that hardwork dedication and tenacity and striving to be the best 1 can be is possible when you set your mind to it you can accomplish anything, I think I can speak for everybody and say he's a inspiration and motivation to us all. Not to mention Obama it's nice to see a president aka politician taking the time to appreciate and award someone like MJ for his greatness instead of trying to get rich off the American public we need more presidents like this who think for the people and not just for themselves.

Space Jam really defined my childhood, even thought not from the USA I still wore a MJ shirt with pride.
